If you have common accounting questions about how accounting works, what a CPA can do for your incorporated business, or whether my services are the right fit, you have come to the right place. I am Sasa Misic, CPA, CMA, and I work directly with incorporated business owners and self-employed entrepreneurs across Ontario, including Kitchener, Cambridge, Waterloo, and beyond. These accounting services explained in plain language are meant to help you understand exactly what I do, who I work with, and how the process works before you reach out for an Accounting Assessment.

Common Accounting Questions About My Services

  • Who do you typically work with, and do you accept all types of clients?

I work primarily with incorporated small-to-medium businesses and self-employed entrepreneurs who have business income, rental properties, or complex tax situations. I am selective about my client list by design. I do not accept clients who only need a basic T4 personal tax return, nor do I serve clients based in Quebec. My focus is on business owners who have outgrown DIY solutions and want a direct, ongoing relationship with a CPA rather than being passed off to junior staff at a larger firm.
  • What does your monthly accounting package actually include?

My monthly accounting packages are built for incorporated businesses and bring together bookkeeping, GST/HST filing, payroll management, and monthly financial statement preparation under one ongoing relationship. I also include a financial health check-up and year-end corporate tax compliance. The goal is to move you away from the seasonal scramble and give you a clear, current picture of your finances throughout the year. Payroll is only available as part of this broader accounting relationship, not as a standalone service.
  • How is your service different from hiring a bookkeeper or a large accounting firm?

With a larger firm, you often meet a senior accountant at onboarding and then get handed off to junior associates for the actual work. With a bookkeeper, you get data entry without the strategic oversight of a licensed CPA. I sit in the middle: I am a sole practitioner with a CPA, CMA designation, and I personally handle every file from start to finish. The same professional who understands your business strategy is also the one navigating the tax code on your behalf. That continuity reduces errors and keeps your financial picture accurate year-round.
  • Do you provide services to clients outside of the Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo area?

Yes. While I am based in Cambridge and serve the Kitchener-Waterloo corridor closely, I work with clients across Ontario and remotely throughout Canada. My remote service model means geography is rarely a barrier for incorporated business owners who need CPA-level oversight. The one firm geographic exclusion is Quebec; I do not provide services to Quebec-based clients.
  • What is an Accounting Assessment, and is it the same as a free consultation?

An Accounting Assessment is how I determine whether we are a good fit before moving forward. It is a structured intake process where I review your situation and assess your needs. It is not a free accounting session or a meeting where complex tax advice is provided at no charge. I am selective about who I take on as a client, and the Assessment is the first step in that process. It protects both of us and ensures that the relationship starts on a clear, professional footing.
  • Can you help if my corporation has unfiled back taxes or CRA issues?

Yes. Corporate back taxes and CRA representation are part of my Corporate Tax and Planning services. I take full ownership of the corporate tax cycle, which includes managing unfiled returns and communicating directly with the CRA on your behalf. Year-round planning is central to how I work, and addressing back taxes is often the first step in getting a business back on solid financial ground.
  • Do you offer services for self-employed individuals, or only incorporated businesses?

I do work with self-employed individuals, but with a specific focus. My self-employed tax return service is designed for owners with business income, rental properties, or other complex personal tax needs. It is strictly distinct from standard personal tax preparation for T4 earners. If you are a sole proprietor, freelancer, or landlord with meaningful income complexity, this service is built for you. If you only have T4 employment income, my practice is not the right fit.
  • What software do you use, and do I need to be set up on QuickBooks already?

I use QuickBooks Online as my primary platform and hold QuickBooks Pro Elite Partner status. I also work with Dext for document capture and Fathom for financial reporting and analysis. You do not need to already be set up on QuickBooks. Part of my Business Advisory service includes QuickBooks training, setup, and ongoing support. If you are coming from a different system or starting fresh, I can get you properly configured so your financial data is accurate and useful for decision-making.
